Real heroes welcome challenge
If I were a hero, I’d like some challenge.
Peacefulness is often for mediocrities and unexciting for brave souls.
It is in the face of great difficulties that our potentilal greatness get activated and expressed. We become emotionally excited and rise to the occasions, producing extraordinary feats that later amaze even ourselves.
That’s why we always have heroes in trying times. And when a war is over, some get bored.
On the one hand, heroes are made by circumstances. On the other, they are born specifically for those circumstances.
So instead of sympathy, say congratulations to President Barack Obama. He’s got messy enough a country to measure his greatness. He won’t be bored.
